  • No data collection. We don’t collect or send any personally-identifiable information—everything stays on your iPad.
  • On-device recognition. Handwriting is processed locally via Google ML Kit; nothing ever leaves your device.
  • No analytics. We don’t track crashes, usage, or any personally identifiable metrics.
  • Puzzle downloads. The app fetches puzzles directly from third-party providers; where credentials or subscriptions are required, you manage them and we never see or store your login details.

Personally-Identifying Information

Crossword Scribe does not gather, store, or transmit any personally-identifying information outside your device.

On-Device Processing

All handwriting recognition is performed locally via Google ML Kit. No puzzle data, images, or metadata ever leave your iPad.

Usage & Subscriptions

  • Free usage: Complete up to seven puzzles without subscribing.
  • Subscription: After seven puzzles, you’ll need a monthly or annual Crossword Scribe subscription via Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple handles all billing; we don’t see your payment information.
  • Third-party credentials: If the puzzle source requires a subscription or login, you are responsible for maintaining it; we do not collect or store any third-party credentials.

Business Transfers

If Crossword Scribe—or substantially all of its assets—is acquired, or the company winds down, this policy may be transferred or amended. Since we don’t collect personal data, no user information will be transferred.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy to reflect changes in technology or law. We’ll update the “Last Updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the new policy.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any losses, damages, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of the app or breach of this policy.
